SCOTT DELANO, AIA NCARB LEED-AP BD+C

In 19 years of professional practice, I have learned that the best spaces are created intentionally, with a concerted effort to acknowledge site, and to create a sense of place.  A project is only successful if it takes advantage of its site by celebrating positive attributes, and making positive changes to challenging aspects.  A successful building works with all environmental factors, and if it can tells a story.  A successful interior design project works for the client if it supports and expresses their viewpoint in a meaningful way.

In all design projects, a central tenet is to make the highest and best use of all project resources - site, materials, budget, staff or family needs, etc.  Spaces should be innovative, nurturing, and inspirational.
